Black and White World

This one time it left itself unprotected and unguarded. A cat in an alley without an exit plan. You stood and looked past the heart you have never understood. It wanted to be rescued and nurtured in only your hands. It wanted to recompense with the truth going forward. The hardwood showed you the seed and the soil, but your eyes gazed beyond with the fatigue of the past. The canvas was white but you couldn’t think of new colors. So we live in black and white.
